Ozone therapy has become a very exciting addition at Fairlawn Dental Care. Ozone is a natural product we use to disinfect teeth, gums & bone with great results.

Ozone is generated by passing medical grade oxygen through the high-energy electrical field of a medically tested device that creates specific doses of ozone depending on the need. Our ozone generator is from Southern Star Scientific, a trusted brand in ozone generation for over 25 years.

Pure oxygen is converted to ozone & the gas can be collected into a syringe for immediate use, bubbled into water to create powerful, non-toxic irrigation or turned into oils.

Ozone creates a “transient oxidative burst” which causes infective microorganisms, like the ones that cause cavities & periodontal disease, to overstress. In doing so, the ozone disinfects the area treated safely & effectively.

Ozone can penetrate & oxidize bacterial biofilms better than almost all other products which makes it our choice for treating periodontal disease.

Tooth decay or cavities can be arrested almost immediately with proper exposure to ozone gas. This allows us to remove less tooth structure than conventional methods, as we do not have to drill as much of your natural tooth away.
